What is Exploit?

An exploit is a piece of code, a technique, or a sequence of commands that takes advantage of a vulnerability to cause unintended behaviour in a system, such as gaining unauthorised access or executing arbitrary code. Exploits can target software bugs, misconfigurations, or design flaws. Penetration testers use exploits in controlled settings to prove that a vulnerability is real and to demonstrate its potential impact.
